Baseball Recap: Lima Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Lima Central Catholic came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wapakoneta Redskins, falling 18-1. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lima Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wapakoneta, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Central Catholic will host Elmwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wapakoneta, they will be playing at home against Defiance at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Redskins 0.8, the Bulldogs 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
