Basketball Recap: Poynette Takes a Loss

Poynette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-34 loss at the hands of the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors. The match marked the Pumas' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Wes Rahn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lakeside Lutheran, going 11 for 13 en route to 24 points and seven boards. The contest was Rahn's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Wolfram, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points.

Poynette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Poynette will host Lake Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lake Mills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they will welcome South Milwaukee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
