Pembroke and Merrimack Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pembroke will bounce into Friday's game after beating St. Thomas Aquinas, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Saints on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Merrimack Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Laconia by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Sachems: they've now won seven in a row.

Pembroke's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Merrimack Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Pembroke was able to grind out a solid win over Merrimack Valley in their previous meeting back in April, winning 6-3. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pride turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
