Football Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette fell victim to Douglass Academy and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 15-0 bruising from the Lions. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Lafayette is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Douglass Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lafayette is set to face off against their familiar foe Information Tech on Saturday. Meanwhile, Douglass Academy will challenge rival Mott Haven at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
