Softball Game Preview: West Shamokin Wolves vs. Marion Center Stingers

For the second straight game, West Shamokin will face off against Marion Center. The Wolves will welcome the Stingers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Shamokin is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Marion Center a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

West Shamokin is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Marion Center just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Stingers by a score of 4-3.

West Shamokin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Elkin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

West Shamokin's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Marion Center, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
