Basketball Recap: Hermitage's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Hermitage came into Monday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They wrapped up 2024 with a 55-38 win over the Smackover Buckaroos. This was a revenge game for the Hermits: when they faced off against the Buckaroos back in November of 2024, they had to take a 51-49 defeat.

Hermitage's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Smackover, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Hermitage will square off against Emerson at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Smackover, they will venture away from home to face off against Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. One thing working in Prescott's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
