Basketball Recap: Indian Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Indian Lake can now relate to. They lost 50-25 to the Urbana Hillclimbers on Wednesday. The match marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Peyton Mounce continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Urbana, going 11-for-23 en route to 27 points and eight rebounds. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Mounce has scored at least a third of Urbana's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia MacKendrick, who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Indian Lake has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Urbana, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

Indian Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Urbana, they will challenge Batavia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
