Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Big Red vs. New London Wildcats

The Plymouth Big Red will challenge the New London Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. New London took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Plymouth, who comes in off a win.

Plymouth will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Lucas, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Plymouth came out on top against Lucas by a score of 54-43 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Big Red as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-38 loss at the hands of Mapleton.

Plymouth's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for New London, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Plymouth took their victory against New London when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 73-53. Does Plymouth have another victory up their sleeve, or will New London turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
