It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Elmore County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Tallassee Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-11 back in March.

Addie Patterson and Abigail Holt did most of the damage at the plate: Patterson went 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Holt got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Holt has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Chloe Hull, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Elmore County moved to 13-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Tallassee, they dropped their record down to 14-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Elmore County will take on Pike Road in a tournament on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
