Softball Recap: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy Comes Up Short

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Adelanto Saints, falling 16-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy of the 14-13 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Adelanto, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverside Prep at 3:15 p.m. on April 1. The match will give Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Adelanto, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-15 victory against Barstow on the 21st.
