Baseball Game Preview: Kanab Cowboys vs. Parowan Rams

The Kanab Cowboys are taking a road trip to face off against the Parowan Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games Kanab has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Kanab didn't have quite enough to beat Enterprise and fell 2-1.

Kanab got a good showing from Kyan Lyman, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Lyman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Kanab saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kash Kabonic, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Parowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Beaver.

Kash Sissener spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, Ayden Osborne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Kanab's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Parowan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Kanab came out on top in a nail-biter against Parowan when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kanab since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
