Baseball Recap: Green Mountain Find Success

After losing to Bear Creek the last time they met, Green Mountain decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Green Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Bear Creek on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Green Mountain got a great performance from Caden Kelly as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.

At the plate, Green Mountain's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was DJ Villalovas, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Orlando King also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Green Mountain now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Bear Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Green Mountain will head out to face off against Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Creek, they will host Loveland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
