Football Game Preview: Glen Rose Tigers vs. Godley Wildcats + How To Watch

Glen Rose is a perfect 9-0 against Godley since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Glen Rose is looking for their season's first win.

Glen Rose is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alvarado last Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in September (40), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Glen Rose might have lost, but man, Judd Connally was a machine: he rushed for 166 yards and three scores, and also threw for 222 yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Connally is now averaging an impressive 104.6 rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, Godley made easy work of Mineral Wells last Friday and carried off a 42-21 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Glen Rose better focus on containing Adam Pempsell and Ryder Papasan as the pair were huge in Godley's win. Pempsell gained 161 total yards and two touchdowns, while Papasan threw for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns gave Papasan a new career-high.

Glen Rose's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Godley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
