After a string of seven wins, Union County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Oakleaf Knights by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Fightin' Tigers have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Erick Lasseter was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was JAKE WALKER, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Oakleaf, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will take on University Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
