Basketball Recap: Norristown Takes a Loss

Norristown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. 2025 welcomed they with a 47-22 loss courtesy of Pope John Paul II. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 39-19 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Norristown still got an impressive performance from Adrianna Golston, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Addison O?Neil was another key player, putting up five points.

Norristown's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pope John Paul II, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Norristown won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Academy Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pope John Paul II, they will host Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pope John Paul II's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them.
