Baseball Game Preview: Hempstead Bobcats vs. Hitchcock Bulldogs

The Hempstead Bobcats will challenge the Hitchcock Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Hempstead and 11 for Hitchcock.

Last Friday, Hempstead didn't have quite enough to beat Boling and fell 7-6.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hitchcock's offense. They came up short against East Bernard on Friday, falling 11-0.

Hitchcock saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Fuqua, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Fuqua hit this season.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Hempstead, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Hempstead came out on top in a nail-biter against Hitchcock in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
