Recap: Mitchell Tigers vs. Hamilton Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Mitchell Tigers, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were outmatched by Hamilton on the road and fell 84-42. Mitchell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hamilton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devan McGee, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Matthews, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hamilton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Mitchell is on the road again on Thursday and play against Whitehaven at 10:00 a.m. on December 21st. Whitehaven presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mitchell in Tennessee (Whitehaven is ranked 28th, while Mitchell is ranked 365th). Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hillcrest at 11:30 a.m. on December 21st. Hillcrest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 731 points over their last nine contests.
