The home team had come away the winner the last five times Atlantic Christian and The Pilgrim Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Atlantic Christian Cougars slipped by The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers 25-24 on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 26-23 victory two weeks ago.

Atlantic Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caelyn Domsic, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance also gave Domsic a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%).

The Pilgrim Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Coretta Kruse, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 11 points, and Moriah Parmer, who put up a point and 11 rebounds. That was a full 45.8% of The Pilgrim Academy's points, marking the third time in a row Kruse has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Atlantic Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-11-1. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Atlantic Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-29 win against Gloucester County Christian on the 1st. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 31-27 victory against King's Christian on the 1st.
