Basketball Recap: Caro Comes Up Short

Caro suffered their biggest defeat since February 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 74-35 loss at the hands of the Cass City Red Hawks. The Tigers have struggled against the Red Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shayler McIntyre, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 16 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave McIntyre a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Another player making a difference was Maggie Miller, who posted six points.

Caro's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Cass City, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cass City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reese at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. Cass City is facing Reese at the right time seeing as Reese is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
