Dixie is 7-2 against Palmetto since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hornets will challenge the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dixie has five straight victories, Palmetto has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Dixie will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Strom Thurmond on Tuesday. The Hornets came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 5-3. Joshua Beiler was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Palmetto managed to keep up with Fountain Inn until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs came up short against the Fury, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that Palmetto have lost by exactly three goals.

Dixie's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those six games. As for Palmetto, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Dixie couldn't quite get it done against Palmetto when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
