Recap: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. Wellsville Tigers
It was a good run, but the East Palestine Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wellsville by a score of 52-50. East Palestine lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-48 score last time.
East Palestine's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Dixon, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Bourne, who scored 15 points.
East Palestine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Wellsville, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
East Palestine won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Wellsville, they will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. David Anderson is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
