Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Tulia's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Tulia hadn't done well against Idalou recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Everything went the Tulia Hornets' way against the Idalou Wildcats as the Tulia Hornets made off with a 9-3 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Zach Trevino was incredible, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Becerra, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Tulia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. Idalou moved to 4-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tulia will square off against River Road at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Tulia their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up.
