Baseball Recap: R.A. Long Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mark Morris last Wednesday, R.A. Long came back down to earth. The Lumberjacks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monarchs on Friday. The contest marked the Lumberjacks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

R.A. Long's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Mark Morris, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

R.A. Long and Mark Morris should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Lumberjacks will square off against Skyview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (31 vs. 139). Meanwhile, Mark Morris (ranked 104th) will meet Hockinson (ranked 230th) at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
