Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Finds Home Field Redemption Against Waukesha North

There's no place like home for Arrowhead, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Waukesha North Northstars on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mason Chirafisi looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cam Carter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Arrowhead is undefeated when Carter posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Ollie Corry also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Arrowhead is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 runs across that stretch. As for Waukesha North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Arrowhead will have a chance to go back-to-back against Waukesha North: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
