Volleyball Game Preview: Crespi Celts vs. Chaminade Eagles

The Crespi Celts will challenge the Chaminade Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Crespi is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Harvard-Westlake.

Meanwhile, Chaminade suffered their biggest defeat since March 25th on Tuesday. They came up short against Loyola, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Chaminade ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Crespi's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Chaminade, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Crespi came out on top in a nail-biter against Chaminade in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Celts repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
