Volleyball Recap: Ephrata Comes Up Short

The Ephrata Mountaineers came up short against the Warwick Warriors on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22.

Joshua Oberholtzer paced Ephrata's offense, picking up nine kills. Oberholtzer got some help from Brayden Fries and his 26 assists. Fries was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Warwick, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ephrata will challenge rival Manheim Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Warwick is set to square off against their familiar foe Penn Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
