Football Game Recap: Taylor County vs. Mercer County

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Taylor County beat Mercer County 26-21 on Friday.

Taylor County got off to a sluggish start, posting six total points in the first half. As for Mercer County, they scored 14 to put Taylor County at a 6-14 disadvantage heading into the break. The Taylor County offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 20 points. The win bumped Taylor County's record up to 8-1. The defeat dropped Mercer County's record to 4-5.

Next week Taylor County take on Marion County at 7:30 PM. Taylor County are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Marion County are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses. Mercer County will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Boyle County in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
