Recap: Akron Rams vs. Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs
The Akron Rams won the last time they faced the Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Akron's way against Haxtun as Akron made off with a 53-31 win. Given Akron's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Haxtun is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Akron's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kinsey Grauer, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mikenna Weers, who scored 13 points.
The victory made it two in a row for Akron and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Haxtun, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Akron will be playing in front of their home fans against Holyoke at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Holyoke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday. As for Haxtun, they will head out on the road to take on Merino at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
