Baseball Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley Cubs vs. Anacortes Seahawks

The Sedro-Woolley Cubs will head out on the road to challenge the Anacortes Seahawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sedro-Woolley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Anacortes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Sedro-Woolley came up short against Oak Harbor and fell 6-2.

Meanwhile, Anacortes came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Anacortes pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Sedro-Woolley, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Sedro-Woolley might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Anacortes in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
