Softball Recap: Blue Mountain's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Blue Mountain and West Rutland squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Blue Mountain had to settle for second. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Horde. The Bucks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ava Kingsbury made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Tori Florentine was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Blue Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for West Rutland, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Blue Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Rutland, they will square off against Leland & Gray at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Rebels have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
