Monroe Central posted their biggest victory since February 21, 2024 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 67-32 win over the Buckeye Trail Warriors. Given the Seminoles' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Warriors are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroe Central and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Buckeye Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe Central has already played their next contest (against Warren), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Buckeye Trail won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Newcomerstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
