St. Michael waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Santa Fe Indian Braves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Tuesday.

St. Michael's had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-15, 15-8.

Larissa Rodriguez paced St. Michael's offense, picking up 14 kills. Rodriguez got some help from Emily Villanueva and her 24 assists. Villanueva was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

St. Michael's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Santa Fe Indian, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Looking ahead, St. Michael's is taking a road trip to take on Robertson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Fe Indian, they will host McCurdy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
