Basketball Recap: Brooke Point Takes a Loss

Brooke Point lost against Colonial Forge two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Brooke Point Black Hawks were outmatched by the Colonial Forge Eagles and fell 64-29. While losing is never fun, the Black Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Eagles are ranked 103rd).

Despite the loss, Brooke Point had strong showings from Chloe Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Soleil Carolina, who posted ten points. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Brooke Point and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Colonial Forge, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Brooke Point has already played their next contest, a 64-48 defeat against Riverbend on the 6th. As for Colonial Forge, they will challenge North Stafford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Colonial Forge's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while North Stafford has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
