Soccer Recap: Community School of Davidson Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Stanly last Friday, Community School of Davidson came back down to earth. Community School of Davidson fell just short of the Pine Lake Prep Pride by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Community School of Davidson haven't had much luck with Pine Lake Prep recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lia Puma and Lexi Shields scored both of Community School of Davidson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Community School of Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pine Lake Prep, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Community School of Davidson will head out to square off against Mountain Island Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Community School of Davidson's defense better be ready for this one: Mountain Island Charter has averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ the King at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Christ the King will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pine Lake Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
