Softball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont lost to Reading Memorial back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Marauders came up short against the Rockets, falling 20-2. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belmont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Guiliana Mastrangelo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Reading Memorial, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Belmont will challenge rival Arlington at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Reading Memorial is set to square off against their familiar foe Wilmington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
