Basketball Game Preview: Northern Adirondack Bobcats vs. Saranac Spartans

The Northern Adirondack Bobcats will challenge the Saranac Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Adirondack has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

On Friday, Northern Adirondack had just enough and edged Peru out 55-53. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 607th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saranac came up short against Beekmantown on Saturday and fell 51-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Saranac now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Northern Adirondack, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Northern Adirondack was able to grind out a solid win over Saranac in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 57-50. Does Northern Adirondack have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saranac turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
