Volleyball Recap: Washington Bluejays vs. Timberland T-Wolves
Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Timberland T-Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the T-Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.
While Washington was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Timberland's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-18.
Washington's offense was headlined by Brooke Stellhorn and Mya Buhr, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Alyson Paule and her 25 assists.
Washington's loss dropped their record down to 18-14-1. As for Timberland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6-2 record this season.
Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against St. Charles on the 22nd. As for Timberland, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Zumwalt West on the 21st.
