Baseball Game Preview: West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates vs. West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights

The West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates will take on the West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South couldn't beat Lawrenceville School on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Pirates fell just short of the Big Red by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since May 20, 2024.

Bennett Siegel was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Jonah Kasof was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Windsor-Plainsboro North fell victim to Steinert and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Spartans. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for West Windsor-Plainsboro North, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
