Basketball Recap: Temple Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Temple Academy suffered their closest loss since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They fell just short of the Wiscasset Wolverines by a score of 58-56. The Bereans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Temple Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10. As for Wiscasset, their record now sits at 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vinalhaven at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple Academy is facing Vinalhaven at the right time seeing as Vinalhaven is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wiscasset, they are taking a road trip to square off against Telstar at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Telstar has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three contests.
