Softball Game Preview: Clearview Clippers vs. Lorain Titans

The Clearview Clippers will head out on the road to square off against the Lorain Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Clearview can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They came up short against Rocky River, falling 10-0. The Clippers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Clearview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Genesis Ruiz-Narvaez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Lorain took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over St. Martin de Porres.

Clearview took their win against Lorain when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clearview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
