Basketball Recap: Abbott Extends Winning Streak to Four

Abbott entered their tilt with Oglesby on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 win over the Oglesby Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-36 back in December of 2024.

Abbott is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Oglesby, they moved to 8-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jonesboro the next time they take the court. Abbott will host Jonesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Oglesby will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
