Basketball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars. The Flyers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McCook Central/Montrose, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Chester and DeSmet will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for McCook Central/Montrose, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Howard at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
