Soccer Recap: Nash Central Comes Up Short

Nash Central and Roanoke Rapids squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Nash Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time Nash Central couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Roanoke Rapids, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Nash Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwest Onslow will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Roanoke Rapids surely won't give up without a fight.
