There's no place like home for Silex, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Louisiana Bulldogs with a sharp 10-1 victory on Monday. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jack Johnson and Chase Mullen made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Johnson tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Mullen struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). At bat, Johnson scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Mullen scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

In other pitching news, Ryder Whitman looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Kameron Garcia was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Chase Vehige, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Silex back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Silex Owls take on Veritas Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Louisiana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowling Green at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
