Volleyball Recap: Mattoon Find Success

Mattoon won the last time they faced Neoga and things went their way on Saturday too. The Greenwave came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greenwave.

Mattoon easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10.

Zion Johnson paced Mattoon's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Khloe Hall and her 14 assists. Charlotte Schultz controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory got Mattoon back to even at 2-2. As for Neoga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Mattoon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Taylorville on the 6th. As for Neoga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 6th.
