Soccer Game Preview: Southmoore vs. Eisenhower

The Southmoore SaberCats are taking a road trip to challenge the Eisenhower Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southmoore will be strutting in after a victory while Eisenhower will be coming in after a loss.

Southmoore barely beat Yukon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The SaberCats were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Millers on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Southmoore's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Eisenhower came up short against Norman North on Tuesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Eisenhower can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Norman North are ranked second).

Eisenhower has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Southmoore, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.
