Volleyball Recap: Eastern Falls Short Against Ranked Dunbar

Eastern faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Ramblers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crimson Tide. If the Ramblers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Crimson Tide when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eastern has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Dunbar, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Eastern is set to face off against their familiar foe Anacostia at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Dunbar will square off against rival Ballou at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
