Baseball Game Preview: Seattle Christian Warriors vs. Chimacum Cowboys

The Seattle Christian Warriors will head out to take on the Chimacum Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seattle Christian came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Klahowya, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Will Aaby was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Aaby was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Aaby wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eamon Koehler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Jackson Young, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Chimacum had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Coupeville on Thursday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Seattle Christian fell to 2-1. As for Chimacum, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Seattle Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Chimacum in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seattle Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
