Softball Game Preview: Jasper Eagles vs. Osceola Indians

The Jasper Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Osceola Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jasper has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jasper managed to slip by Sarcoxie the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Jasper came up short against Sarcoxie on Saturday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Osceola unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 17-0 to Lockwood on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Jasper took their win against Osceola in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jasper since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
