Football Recap: Roosevelt Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Roosevelt easily dispatched Victor Valley on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Mustangs fell just short of the San Dimas Saints by a score of 26-24 on Saturday.

Lei'Ani Jaime produced another solid performance throwing for 140 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 69 yards and one score for San Dimas. Jaime also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Juleah Velasco was in the mix too, providing San Dimas with two touchdowns.

Roosevelt's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7. As for San Dimas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Roosevelt will head out on the road to square off against Corona at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Dimas, they have already played their next contest, a 43-6 victory against Montebello on the 20th.
